The Australian Social Work Association (AASW) recommends a fee of $270.00 per hour
for an individual session, report writing and professional supervision.
Social work consultancy is recommended at $325.00 per hour.
The 2024-25 recommended fee for a 50 min standard consultation with a psychologist is $311-$315 (APS)

Cancellation Policy
Due to the high demand in appointment times, if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment please provide 24 hours notice via text 04210 033 570 or email. A $110.00 fee is charged for late cancellation and non attendance as this is an appointment time that is required by others.
Medicare Rebate
Under the 'Better Access to Mental Health Care' initiative, you can access Medicare rebates for your counselling sessions. Please see your GP for a Mental Health Care Plan referral and bring your Mental Health Plan and referral letter to your first appointment or have the practice email it to info@adrianacope.com
From 1 July 2024, you will receive a rebate of $85.20 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Subsequent sessions within the calendar year will incur the full session fee.

As long as your cover allows, you are able to claim benefits from Bupa. However, you cannot claim from Medicare and
Bupa at the same time.

Medicare Safety Net Threshold
Once you have paid a certain amount of out-of-pocket costs for health services that attract a Medicare
Rebate, you reach a threshold. If this happens, you start to receive back higher Medicare rebates (up to 80% of the out-of-pocket fee). Medicare thresholds are reset at the beginning of each calendar year.
Eligibility

-
Must hold a valid Medicare card
-
Must have a current Eating Disorder Management Plan, Mental Health Care Plan, Chronic Disease Management Plan and/or Psychiatry referral from your referring doctor
Thresholds

-
If you receive Family Tax Benefit (FTB) Part A and/or hold a concession card, you will meet the threshold (and therefore be eligible for the higher Medicare rebate) once $717.90 of out-of-pocket costs has been reached.
-
For all other individuals and families who do not receive FTB part A or do not hold a concession card, the threshold is $2249.80.
Please note, services that are bulk billed, billed privately, or claimed through private do not apply to your Medicare Safety Net Threshold. To determine what your Safety Net Threshold is, please download the Medicare Express App or alternatively, phone Medicare to obtain this information.
